Facebook was the last of the major social networks to introduce the hashtag earlier this month. This has been greeted by mixed emotions ranging from excitement by those who use it on other social networks, to confusion at this strange symbol suddenly appearing in status updates, to indifference. Following my previous post, I received a couple of comments with this link which humorously illustrated how to pick which social media channel to post your status update to.
While there is a certain element of truth to this infographic for personal status updates, when it comes to your business hopefully you will make the decision on which social media channel to use keeping in mind your marketing strategy and your target audience.
